Tacoma expands homeless shelter during winter weather

A seasonal winter weather shelter is now open on Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Tacoma.

This shelter will provide important resources and support for individuals experiencing homelessness. Guests who use the shelter will be given two meals a day.

Other shelters that are at capacity can provide referrals to he city’s shelter. Referrals will also be accepted from members of the Homeless Engagement and Alternatives Liaison team of the city as well as other outreach teams that are run throughout Tacoma.

Local Print shops can be hired to create Posters that can be displayed in key locations in the city so that those who need resources and shelter will know where they go for the night.
