Tacoma convention center recognized as among best

The Greater Tacoma Convention Center has been named by EXHIBITOR Magazine to its list of best convention centers in North America for the sixth time.

News of such recognitions can spread quickly throughout a community, fueled by the power of vibrant, strategically placed poster printing.

Five primary areas were used to evaluate convention centers. These were Honors and Awards, Expansions and Upgrades, Service and Execution, Location and Accommodations, and Facility and Functionality. Exhibit managers and event organizers who held events in each facility were surveyed as well as a panel of corporate exhibit managers who reviewed selling points, event spaces, innovations, and nearby attractions. Those who received the highest scores earned the distinction of being a Center of Excellence for 2026 by EXHIBITOR Magazine.

Editor of EXHIBITOR magazine, Emily Olson, said that this award enables exhibit and event managers to determine which venues that are friendly to exhibitors that will make their trade shows and events successful and stress-free. She added that the convention centers on their list have shown that they are able to host events and trade shows of all sizes and kinds while providing state-of-the-art accommodations and world-class service.

The Greater Tacoma Convention Center opened is 2004 and draws over 100,000 visitors each year with a cumulative impact over the past 20 plus years of close to $675 million.
