The Tacoma Art Museum (TAM) has several exhibits and events planned for the fall.
Opening at the end of this month is an exhibit of the work of several French Impressionists and their paintings of the Pacific Northwest. Also on exhibit through the end of the year is one on the life of The Simpsons, which is now the longest primetime animated television show in the US.
The exhibit examines the teamwork and processes involved in creating the show and features over 100 animation cels generated by hand, drawings, and scripts that went into the first 13 seasons of the show. Those who come to the exhibit will learn about the elements of the show that gave it its unique style, characters, and comedy.
Poster printing can be used to inform the community of such exhibits and other events planned for the future.
The annual TAM Gala will celebrate the museum with a dinner, entertainment, and auction. The price of tickets ranges from $275 to $500 with proceeds going to support programming and arts education for those communities in the South Sound and Tacoma overall. The Gala will take place on Saturday, October 12 from 5:00 pm until midnight.
On that same evening from 9:45 pm until midnight, there will be a Millennial Mixer for young professionals from the Tacoma area.
