Senator Maria Cantwell said that this is a victory for the Port of Tacoma and all South Puget Sound. Cantwell added that the passage of this bill will enable the port to grow and support jobs that pay well and boost the $53.7bn export economy of the state. Cantwell added that it will ensure that the Seaport Alliance and the Port of Tacoma remain at the top of the competitive market of global trade.
