Tacoma residents are invited to a special event that has been planned for the community to celebrate the beauty of its waterfront area.
Sunday Parkways: Downtown to Defiance will see people take to the nearly seven miles of the waterfront in a spirit of fun. They can do so by biking, walking, scootering, rollerblading, skateboarding, or any other form of non-motorized movement they choose. There will be no vehicle traffic to contend with, and it is open to people of all ages. Banners can be both designed and produced by a printer for use during large outdoor events such as this.
Those who are interested in taking part can do so at any point along the course, which follows Rushton Way. Metro Parks sites will be open and offering a variety of activities along the way to help mark the occasion. There is no charge to participate, though donations will be gratefully accepted from anyone who wishes to make one. This can be done through the function’s website.
The event will take place along Rushton Way in Tacoma on September 11th, running from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. Those who would like to preregister can do so online.
Anyone who wishes to find out more about, register for the event or make a donation towards it can do so on its Eventbrite listing.
