Infoblox will be keeping its Center of Excellence and hub for hiring in Tacoma for another six years.
It is located in the Horizon Pacific Center in the city’s Old Brewery District where it will remain. Director of Facilities for Infoblox, Michael Pamintuan commented that the decision was made to remain in Tacoma as cloud-based computing allows for traditional office work as well as flexible hours working at home. He said this flexible model was adopted and Tacoma has been ideal for this environment.
He also said that the company has a strong partnership with the University of Washington-Tacoma and the county and the city have been very supportive and welcoming since making the decision to move to the city in 2016. Since then, the company has increased the number of its employees from 45 to 225.
An increase in employees often means a call for business card printing services for growing businesses.
Business Development Manager for the city, Pat Beard, said that the company is an anchor in the technology sector of Tacoma. Vice President for Business Retention and Expansion at the Economic Development Board (EDB) for Tacoma-Pierce County, Maddie Merton, expressed her thrill that Infoblox is reinvesting in Tacoma. She noted that this will reinforce and grow the economy of Peirce County and recovery efforts. The EDB works to recruit and retain new firms across Pierce County.
