Tacoma to host music festival

The Tacoma Dome will be hosting its Guitar and Drum Festival over two days this month.

The festival will feature an exhibit with over 120 booths as well as drum and guitar workshops led by experts and legends in the industry. There will also be meet and greets and live performances on the professional stage. Attendees will be able to trade, buy, and sell used, new, and vintage guitars, ukuleles, and drums as well as accessories, amplifiers, vinyl records and gear. Events like these usually turn to brochure printing to provide more information and details about exhibits and performances throughout the festival.

Among the performances scheduled for the festival are Glen Sobel, Nita Strauss, Rudy Sarzo, and Gregg Bissonette. Sponsors who are confirmed include JT Custom Basses, Breedlove Guitars, Paul Reed Smith, and Lolar. More are to be announced in the upcoming days. A weekend pass is $20.00 and provides access to both days of the exhibits and performances at the festival. Parking is free.

The Tacoma Guitar and Drum Festival is the result of five successful years as the Tacoma Guitar Festival and Donn Bennet, an expert drum collector, to create a new event to celebrate both types of instruments.

The festival will be from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday June 26 and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday June 27.
