Tacoma experiences new interest in soccer

A new soccer team is coming to Tacoma.

Cheney Stadium will be where home games will be played by the Seattle Reign FC, which for the upcoming season is changing its name to Reign FC. A schedule for the games to be played will be released early this month. Flyer printing is often used to Print more detailed information about such games, including ticket prices and when tickets go on sale.

Victoria Woodards, Mayor of Tacoma, is excited of the prospect of the city having a professional women’s soccer team. Woodards wants to ensure that the team gets the attention it deserves and plays on fields and spaces that are comparable to those on which professional male teams play.

Reign FC previously played in Memorial Stadium in Seattle. It won the National Women’s Soccer League Shield, which is a major trophy of the league, in 2014 and 2015, and then advanced to championship games after those seasons.

In addition, the Sounders FC 2 has rebranded itself as the Tacoma Defiance. It has changed its colors to black and white and has a jersey front partner, MultiCare Health System, which is based in Tacoma. This partnership will provide the team with a facility measuring 60,000 square feet in size that will provide medical care for the team and the general public, and will be integrated into a new stadium.
