Tacoma families with young children have been offered an opportunity to learn new ways of equipping their son or daughter with the tools they may need to succeed in their future academic career.
During an upcoming school readiness workshop, attendees will discover more about how young children absorb and retain information, how the child’s brain develops over time and how this can affect learning, the layout and space that is typical for a kindergarten classroom, and other important information.
The day will be facilitated by a member of staff from the Charles Wright Academy, and there will also be time for questions and answers after the presentation takes place.
Those who come to the event will be able to access free-of-charge childcare during the session, and there will also be light refreshments served. Each participant will leave the function with Copies of the academy’s programs and also an assortment of resources related to child development. A local printer can use digital copying to produce replicas of documents and other handouts for a function such as this.
November 1 has been chosen as the date for this information session, and it will take place at 7723 Chambers Creek Road in Tacoma. The school’s Facebook page includes additional details and also a chance to register to participate in the workshop.
