What's Happening in Tacoma, WA…

New restaurant concept to come to Tacoma

The owners of Rhein Haus are converting the location in Tacoma to a Stadium Golf Sports Bar.

James Weimann and Deming Maclise are the owners of Weimann-Maclise Restaurants and operate several businesses, including the popular Macleod’s, Poquito’s, and Stoneburner in Seattle. Stadium Golf Sports will offer a little more than the typical experience of a sports bar.

The south end of the building will become a Poqutio’s, which will be the third location of the eatery, the other two being in Bothell and Capitol Hill. Items on the menu will include seasonal margaritas, guacamole and salsa, enchiladas and tacos, and coastal ceviche. Local print shops are often hired to print menus and other items to highlight the offerings of such eateries.

The rest of the space will feature six golf simulator suites from TrackMan for people to improve on their golf swing, and a menu of food and beverages to enjoy with family, friends, and co-workers. More than a dozen televisions will remain to feature local sports in Tacoma and Seattle, as well as other games such as pull tabs, shuffleboard, and Big Buck Hunter.

The executive chef will be Kelly Wilson and the general manager will be Jeff Sparks, both leading the team at the front of the restaurant.

The new restaurant is expected to open sometime this summer.
