A singer who already has a successful almost twenty-year career behind her will appear soon in San Diego.
Rebecca Jade was raised in a household filled with music, making her career choice natural. She seems to have been drawn most strongly to jazz.
Jade’s career has taken her around the world, performing with noted artists at important festivals. Among them are Brian Culbertson’s New Orleans Jazz Getaway in 2024 and 2025; Indonesia’s Java Jazz Festival; and the Berks Jazz Festival.
Jade’s other appearances include the Academy Awards where she sang backing vocals for Sir Elton John. Her work on the special “Let’s Go Crazy: The GRAMMY Salute to Prince,” was nominated for an Emmy. She has opened for artists such as Jeffrey Osborne and Boney James.
Jade was born in New York city but is based in San Diego. She is the recipient of several San Diego Music Awards including “Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year.” Three singles from her album “A Shade of Jade,” (2022), made it onto the Billboard charts, and her 2018 jazz album, “Planet Cole Porter,” also won a San Diego Music Award.
Jade is also the frontwoman of Rebecca Jade & the Cold Fact, an award-winning soul/funk band, as well as a successful actor.
