Glen Allen to celebrate Vietnamese New Year
Tết Holiday 2023 will bring the festivities of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year to Glen Allen next month.
Hosted by Sai Sen, the Tết Holiday festival will be the first vegan version of Tết Holiday and will feature some of Glen Allen’s best vegan food. Organizers hope attendees will take this opportunity to celebrate the vegan lifestyle, connect with like-minded people, and highlight local vegan businesses.
The festival will feature numerous Vietnamese cultural activities and entertainment. Festivalgoers will be able to stroll down Spring Flowers Street and learn about the history of Vietnam. There will also be the Ao Dai Fashion Show, which will showcase both traditional Vietnamese fashion like the Ao Dai, a Vietnamese national garment and cultural symbol, and the latest trends in Vietnamese popular fashion. There will be educational and artistic performances, such as the Lion Dance, and people will have the chance to win prizes playing fun games.
Festivals are often advertised on theme-specific posters that can showcase event details in an aesthetically pleasing way. Such posters can be printed using local poster printing services offered by specialty print shops.
The Vietnamese Lunar Festival is scheduled for January 14 and January 15. It will take place at Vien Giac Temple at 2208 Mountain Road. General admission is free, but tokens can be purchased for $50 (Silver package) and $100 (Gold package).
