The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen will be kicking off its 2nd Stage Concerts series with an outdoor performance by veteran tribute act Bak N Da Day this September.
Bak N Da Day is a five-piece vocal group led by Russell Bennett and founded in 1999. The group will be performing a selection of songs from musical traditions such as doo-wop and Mo-Town, ranging from the 1950s to the 1970s. The group boasts a repertoire of almost 100 songs, including hits popularized by the Temptations, the Four Tops and Lionel Richie and the Commodores.
The show will feature a “center field” outdoor atmosphere, with attendees welcomed to bring blankets and lawn chairs to watch the show in comfort. There will also be food and beverages available for sale.
The Bak N Da Day concert will kick off the 2024-2025 2nd Stage Concerts series, with shows sponsored by the Cultural Arts Centre taking place in a variety of venues. Future shows include the Soul Shakers, another outdoor concert, The Lawrence Olds Band, and a holiday performance by The Taters. Concerts like this often use methods like poster printing and local radio advertising to help attract music lovers.
The Bak N Da Day outdoor concert will take place on the afternoon of September 7 outside the Cultural Arts Center in Glen Allen building.
