Glen Allen Day to celebrate anniversary

The Glen Allen Ruritan Club will be holding its 30th anniversary edition of Glen Allen Day this month, which looks to bring the community together.

The day-long event will kick off with a parade along Mountain Road, featuring local marching bands, representatives of community organizations, and more. The parade will lead to a festival featuring the best of Glen Allen businesses and culture. The festival grounds will feature over 100 vendors including several food stations. Vendors at festivals like this often advertise special deals or Promotional Products for the occasion.

Glen Allen Day will also feature local bands, musical artists, and other entertainment on the main stage. There will be an area for children and family activities, and past editions of the festival have included attractions like inflatables, pumpkin carving, crafts, and more.

The Glen Allen Day event is hosted annually by the Glen Allen Ruritan Club, in association with the County of Henrico Division of Recreation and Parks. The event will help raise donations for the Club’s efforts throughout the year, which includes scholarships for local students, the Glen Allen Cares Initiative, and the annual Stew & Que event. The organization says that their purpose is to create:
“…A better understanding among people, and through volunteer community service, make America’s communities a better place to live and work.”

The 2026 edition of Glen Allen Day will take place next Saturday, September 19 at Crump Park.
