Sound Hall Studios will open its doors this June, looking to provide a rehearsal and recording space for musicians in Glen Allen and the rest of Henrico County.
The facility includes 10 soundproofed rehearsal and teaching studios in addition to a professional calibre recording studio. Sound Hall will also include the multipurpose room The Hall, which can serve as a performance space seating approximately 75 people, as well as a lounge and creative hub for musical collaboration. These studios are available for walk-in rental or a monthly membership free.
Sound Hall Studios will also host educational and creative programming, including meet-and-greets and masterclasses from musicians in a variety of genres. Professional spaces and services like this often use tools like poster printing and radio advertising to help attract clients from nearby spaces like Glen Allen.
The studio was created by music educator and conductor Shannon Loy and Chris Davis, a fellow educator and businessman. Noting that the studios aim to address the lack of professional spaces in Henrico County, Davis explained:
“We’re not just opening a studio — we’re building the kind of resource Central Virginia musicians have needed for a long time. The response we’ve already received tells me the community has been waiting for this.”
Sound Hall Studios in Henrico, VA will hold its official opening ceremony on Thursday, June 18, with the studios opening for regular business on Monday, June 29.
