The gala is the signature event of NAWBO Richmond, and recognizes professional accomplishments and community contributions from the year of 2025. There will be five awards categories: the Entrepreneur of the Year, Community Leader, Rising Star, Women in STEM, and Student Entrepreneur. Women are nominated by community members with a final winner selected by the organization.
This year’s gala will also feature a silent auction for items and experiences donated by area businesses. Proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will go to support NAWBO Richmond’s educational programming and networking events throughout the year of 2026. The organization describes its goals as being to:
“...provide enriching opportunities for women business owners in the Greater Richmond Region to engage with one another, learn about best entrepreneurial practices, and equip them with the resources to take their businesses to the next level.”
Local businesses will contribute through both sponsorships and silent auction items. Gala events like this are often networking opportunities, with Business Cards and social media information changing hands between professionals in different fields.
