Wellness event comes near Canonsburg
An upcoming workshop in Strabane, a short distance from Canonsburg, will teach attendees to use their breath to improve their overall health.
Hosts for the event are Julie Mackey from Chicago’s Flex Yoga, and Indigo Wellness’s Jill Sansom. They will present an educational, fun session that includes yoga, breath aromatherapy, self-myofascial rolling, movement, and discussion.
The aim of the workshop is to show attendees how to improve their performance, fitness, and health without adding additional medication, supplements, or training. The hosts will present simple, accurate ways for people using the method to measure their progress and to make certain the movements they make during their practice sessions are safe. The techniques that will be discussed are suitable for everyone, including those who have no knowledge of yoga or similar disciplines.
The session will integrate yoga with the technique of self-myofascial release, along with nasal testing, and how to test for breath oxygen level, as well as the theory behind the techniques and a discussion.
People planning to attend are urged to wear comfortable clothes, and bring anything they need to give them additional support. Movement instructors and educators are particularly encouraged to attend to learn techniques they can use in their own practices.
The breath workshop will be held November 5 at the Visions Reiki and Soul Spa, at 206 Alexander Avenue in Strabane. When these types of events are planned, organizers can advertise locally by using flyer printing to create handouts.
