A golf outing to benefit the library system is on the schedule in Canonsburg.
North Star PA Events is the host of the upcoming 3rd Annual Charity Golf Outing, which will be held at the Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg. Proceeds from the day go to support the Butler County Zelienople Library, which participates in Pennsylvania’s PA Forward Initiative. The program is designed to help advance literacy, and to support citizens as they learn about financial literacy, health literacy, social and civic literacy, information literacy, and general literacy, qualities that will help them reach their potential.
The format of the outing is a four-person scramble, a method where a team of four works as a single unit. In addition, the event has a shotgun start, meaning everyone tees off from different holes at the same time.
The day begins with registration and breakfast at 8.30 am, and the tournament starts with a 10am shotgun start. At the turn, lunch will be served, and awards presentations and prizes will follow dinner.
The outing is set for June 22, and the club is at 360 Southpointe Boulevard in Canonsburg. The deadline to make donations and to RSVP to the event is June 1. When they plan events such as this, organizers can use poster printing to create the type of advertising that will spread the word and ensure maximum attendance.
