An upcoming event in Canonsburg promises to be fun as well as a way to raise needed funds for an important organization.
The Summer Fade Away Festival is an annual event that celebrates summer, while at the same time it raises awareness and funding to support those with special needs, especially autism. This is the 12th year for the festival, which includes vendors, activities for children, food trucks, raffle baskets, and live music all day. There is still time for interested vendors to sign up, plus volunteers are always needed and welcome.
The event is in support of the Autism Caring Center, which was founded in 2017. The center is the first facility in the area devoted exclusively to supporting members of the autism community with dedicated advocacy, important resources, and comprehensive training.
In addition, the center encourages strong partnerships that will create opportunities for inclusion, acceptance, and increased awareness of autism. It also looks for ways to provide solution-based support to improve daily life.
The festival is perfect for anyone looking for an immersive community event and welcomes newcomers as well as regular festivalgoers. Organizers note that almost 200 people have already indicated an interest in attending.
The festival is set for August 6 at the Southpointe Town Center, at 1900 Main Street in Canonsburg. When they plan community events like this, organizers can publicize them by using poster printing to create advertising.
