The Pennsylvania Bavarian Oktoberfest will bring a German tradition to Pennsylvania. The Canonsburg festival has been designated one of the country’s top ten Oktoberfests. Visitors will be treated to a wide range of beers, a food court featuring both German and American dishes, a children’s craft area, carnival games and rides, and live entertainment. Among the performers is Built For Speed.
Built For Speed is based in Pittsburg, and plays rockabilly, country, and classic rock. The group comprises Jason Pinkney handling lead vocals and guitar, Dave Resto doing vocals and percussion, and bassist/vocalist Rod “Hot Rod” Zakowski. The band has built a solid reputation for being a professional, tight-sounding group that people enjoy listening to. They play both original material and covers, which cover a total of 70 years of music. A review says:
“There are new songs, old songs, Rock, Country... a little something for everyone. Anyone can come to a Built For Speed show and have a great time."
The Canonsburg Oktoberfest is scheduled for September 18-20, in and around Pike Street and throughout the downtown. Built For Speed will appear on September 19, from 4.00 pm until 7.30 pm, on the Main Stage, which will be in the center of town. Events like this can benefit when organizers use poster printing to create colorful advertising to support them.
