Scouts and charity team up to accept donations
The Peters Township Girl Scouts have recently partnered with the Brother’s Brother Foundation, a charity foundation that provides supplies to those in need around the world, to collect donations that will be given to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
For the Brother’s Brother Foundation, the Peters Township Girl Scouts will be collecting school-related supplies such as scissors that are safe for children to use, rulers, small and non-electronic pencil sharpeners, pencils that have not been sharpened, erasers that are two-inches-long, boxes that contain 24 crayons, loose-leaf paper, and writing pads. Other school-related supplies that have not been mentioned here but are safe for children to use should also be acceptable.
Collections will be accepted at the Peters Township Public Library located at 616 East McMurray Road in McMurray, Pennsylvania until September 30. The library itself is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm from Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Fridays, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturdays, and from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm on Sundays.
For more information regarding the collection event, or to view the original event flyers, visit the Peters Township Girl Scouts Facebook page. For any other questions about the donation or the groups behind it or affected by it, contact Susan Earley by emailing her at earley2@verizon.net.
