Residents gather at park for community festival
Locals in Upper St. Clair and nearby McMurray can celebrate the season at the ‘7th Annual Bounty at Boyce Mayview Park Fall Fest’.
To kick off the event, there will be a ‘Fall Fest 5K relay’, where teams of four eat a breakfast item and then run their leg of the relay. Registration costs $60 per team and closes at 9:00 pm on November 6.
Afterwards, individuals can head on over to the fall fest, where there will be games such as the apple sling shot. There will also be a petting zoo, arts and crafts, and geocaching. Guests can see the ‘pumpkin plunge’ contest at the indoor pool, make s’mores, or enjoy the live music. Competitive types may want to participate in the baking or pumpkin plunge contests.
Registration forms for the relay, baking contest, and pumpkin plunge need to be turned into the Upper St. Clair Community and Recreation Center, located on 1551 Mayview Road.
Admission is complimentary. However, some events may require a fee. Vendors will be selling food and it is likely these businesses invested in some promotional drinkware to have on hand at the event.
