Festival celebrates Washington County history

The Whiskey Rebellion Festival is taking place for four days this July in Washington County.

There will be plenty of activities taking place during the festival that will appeal to people of all ages.

There is set to be a health fair, historic re-enactments, street theater, a car show, and tours of the Bradford and Lemoyne houses. Blues, brews, and BBQ will take place at the Blue Eagle Tavern, and it will feature the music of Ruby Red and the Dirty Devils.

The Lil' Rebels Art and Heritage Area will be filled with activities for the kids.

There will also be a community parade, fireworks, and performances from the Washington Symphony Orchestra. The History and Heritage Tent will help to educate visitors on what the Whiskey Rebellion was, and how it impacted the area.

The celebrations will continue later on in the week at the annual Whiskey Dinner. Guests will be treated to dinner, whiskey tasting, and a souvenir gift.

No doubt visitors will come to this event from all over the area, including nearby McMurray. Flyer printing services can guarantee that events like this are quickly and widely advertised.

The Whiskey Rebellion Festival will be held in Washington from July 9 to 12. Admission is free. The Whiskey Dinner will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpoint on July 17; tickets are $150 each. Call 724-413-6463 to learn more about both.
