Event for aquarium fans in Canonsburg
Maintaining a healthy salt-water aquarium can be challenging, but an event coming up in Canonsburg will aid fans of these aquariums.
The 3 Rivers Marine Aquarium Society (3RMAS) is hosting Fragswap, an annual event where enthusiasts will be able to buy live coral for their aquariums, as well as learning more about how to properly care for these installations. Events like this give attendees a great opportunity to exchange business cards.
3RMAS hopes to educate both the public and members of the organization on how to properly care for the species they use to populate their aquariums. They also explain the importance of conserving coral reefs, which are living things and a particularly delicate ecosystem. The organization also hopes to build a community that exchanges information freely regarding reef conservation as well as keeping fish as a self-sustaining hobby. The group explains the techniques of captive propagation of invertebrates, fish, and coral, and the tools needed to implement them.
In addition, the group maintains a good relationship between its members and the educational and scientific institutions that are supplying information about developments in reef conservation and marine biology. 3RMAS encourages an open exchange of problem-solving skills, techniques, and ideas that will enable members to understand captive reef keeping.
