Daddy-daughter dance in Canonsburg
A very special dance event is coming up in Canonsburg.
The North Strabane Township Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the upcoming “Dance with Your Daughter,” a celebration of the special bond between parents and children, especially fathers and daughters. The event, which is always popular, is changing venues this year.
This time, the Daughter Dance will take place at the Lindenwood Golf Club. Everyone is encouraged to dress up for the dance, which organizers refer to as “Boots & Bling.” The fee is $30 for a father/daughter couple, and an additional $10 for every additional daughter.
Father/daughter dances are important to both participants. Fathers often adore their “little girls” and help them grow into strong women. Likewise, girls love their fathers and look to them to see how men should treat women. The strong bond between a daughter and her father should be celebrated, strengthened, and encouraged, and dances like the one upcoming in Canonsburg provide the perfect opportunity to do so.
The Daughter Dance is three hours in length and is scheduled for November 2, from 6.00 pm until 9.00 pm, in the clubhouse. The golf club is located at 360 Galley Road in Canonsburg. When they organize an event like this, planners will often decide to contact a printer, who will use poster printing techniques to create colorful and appropriate advertising for the outing.
