Classic car show returns to Washington County
The 23rd annual Cruisin' Classics Hot Rod Hoedown is returning to the area next month, and will be particularly anticipated after last year's event was cancelled.
Hosted by Cecil Township Parks and Recreation and Cruisin' Classics of Pittsburgh, car owners who wish to participate can register their cars for a $10 entry fee, and all years are accepted. They will then compete for Best in Class in 14 categories including Best GM, Street Machine, Customs, Antique/Classics, and Street Rods. The two top placers in each category will receive awards. The first 125 who register will receive dash plaques and goodie bags.
There will also be food and drink available for purchase, door prizes, an auction, and a 50/50 draw. Music will be provided by DJ Dan Brown and Cindy.
Car owners and automobile enthusiasts from all over Washington County, including from nearby McMurray, will no doubt want to participate in this show. Organizers may have contacted their favorite printing company to have them provide flyers and posters to help advertise the event.
The Cruisin' Classics Hot Rod Hoedown will be held at Cecil Township Municipal Park on August 23 from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, and awards will be presented at 3:45 pm. Admission is free.
