Chamber to host annual Christmas party
The Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration is taking place next month in nearby Canonsburg. It will be hosted by the Greater Canonsburg Chamber of Commerce.
Those who are interested in attending are advised to register by the end of today, November 23. Tickets are $5 for children, which includes lunch, games, a picture with Santa Claus, and a goodie bag. Adults pay $3 for lunch, and there will be two separate sittings.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the day by local choirs and musical performers. There will also be craft making activities, nearby firehouse tours, and trolley rides. Guests will also see the lighting of the community tree and a living nativity display. The winners of the Spirit of Christmas Decorating Contest will also be announced.
It is likely that this fun event will attract families from all over Peters Township, including those from nearby McMurray. To help spread the word, local printing companies may have provided sign up forms and flyers to advertise it in the community.
