Canonsburg welcomes firefighter applications
Applications for the position for Fire Fighter – Fire Inspector are currently being accepted, but time is running out for those looking to put their name forward.
To qualify for and perform the responsibilities for this position, the applicant will need to have knowledge of the International Fire Codes and International Building Codes. Among the responsibilities of this job are confirming fire control equipment such as fire alarm systems, fire extinguishing apparatus, standpipe system, and sprinkler systems are tested and determined to be operable.
Before they make any plans involving business card printing involving this job, the applicants will need to show proof that they meet a number of prerequisites.
Specific requirements for the position are as follows:
• A high school diploma or GED
• A CDL – Class B including air brake endorsement
• Nation Pro-Board IFSAC Fire Fighter I Certification
• Certification of completion of an Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC)
• National Pro-Board IFSAC Fire Inspector I Certification
• A valid first aid and CPR Certification
• No felony convinctions
