Canonsburg in the mood for motors
An auto show is coming up in Canonsburg for a specific group of people – those who own GM vehicles.
The All-GM Car Show is for those who own a Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac, or Chevrolet, 2007 models or older. The host of the show is the Allegheny Rockets Oldsmobile Club, so it may not be surprising that there are 11 classes of judging for Oldsmobiles. There will also be an award for Best of Show, and an award for each make of vehicle. In addition to the cars, there will be music courtesy of a DJ, a 50/50 raffle, a basket auction, and door prizes.
The 11 classes in which Oldsmobiles will be judged are:
• all models from 1897 to 1949
• all models from 1950 to 1959
• full size models from 1960 to 1969
• intermediate size models from 1960 to 1969
• full size models from 1970 to 1979
• intermediate size models from 1970 to 1979
• full size models from 1980 to 1989
• intermediate size models from 1980 to 1989
• full size models and SUVs from 1990 to 2004
• intermediate size models from 1990 to 2004
• a cash prize for display-only.
The show is September 19, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, at Southpoint Town Center on Main Street in Canonsburg. Registration begins at 10:00 am and is $15.00. An event like this is the perfect place for people to exchange business cards.
