Car people have an event coming up in Canonsburg just for them.
The Father’s Day Car Cruise welcomes all makes and models of trucks and cars to a free event at Southpointe, which is becoming a tradition. In addition to the cars, Roadrunner Hot Dawgs & Catering will be on hand with tasty food, and a DJ will keep things lively with great music.
The special guest is Mike Frazer, a radio personality from Pittsburg station 3WS 94.5, which plays classic hits. Frazer, who was born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, has been in Pittsburgh for years, and began his career on the station in 1989. He has also worked at stations in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Syracuse. He is the perfect choice for this event, as he is an enthusiast of classic cars as well as classical music, and hosts various auto events in the area. He is also the voice of “My Music” Concert Series, a popular PBS program.
The day also celebrates Yenko, a legendary Chevrolet dealership where Don Yenko sold muscle cars through his family’s dealership. A “Yenko” is now a highly prized classic car.
Southpointe Town Center is located at 1900 Main Street in Canonsburg. The cruise is set for Juen 15, from 2.00 pm until 8.00 pm. The rain date is June 29. When they plan outdoor events like this, organizers often work with banner printing services to create fun decorations for the day.
