A chilly celebration in Canonsburg
An upcoming event will make the cold a little warmer and raise funds at the same time.
The Winter Wonderland Celebration at Penn Highlands is a fundraiser to benefit the Louis J. Panza, Jr. Center for Cardiac Services, located at Penn Highlands Mon Valley, and the Penn Highlands Connellsville’s emergency department. Penn Highlands is a regional healthcare system, and Penn Highlands Mon Valley is a full-service hospital located in Monongahela, which has been offering services for more than 100 years. There are currently nine hospitals in the system, with a tenth due to open in 2024.
The Connellsville location is about 35 miles from Canonsburg. The Emergency Department at Penn Highland Connellsville is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to treat emergencies of all kinds. The facility provides care for heart problems, strokes, emergencies, abdominal issues, and pediatric emergencies.
Tickets for the Winter Wonderland Celebration are priced at $100 each, and either semi or full formal attire is requested. The event will see a happy hour run from 7.00pm until 8.00pm, with dancing to follow from 8.00pm until 11.00pm. Jeff Jimerson & Airborne Band will provide the music, and an collection of hors d’oeuvres, as well as a cash bar, will be part of the fun.
