San Bernardino to help fatherless youth with race

The organization ReWritten will hold a fundraising race in San Bernardino to help support its resources.

The Race for ReWritten is an annual event where people can improve the quality of life of local youths without father figures. The money earned from this race will be used to fund programs that give children academic and emotional support. The course for the event will take runners through Historic Downtown San Bernardino. All registered participants for Race for ReWritten will receive a complimentary swag bag, event shirt, and medal for finishing the course.

ReWritten is an organization that was created in 2012 by Frank Perez, April Hoss, and Jeremy Livermore. The nonprofit group offers several services to fatherless children, such as practical life skills mentoring, academic and career guidance, and scholarship awards. Those who work with the charity can improve their job readiness, become more self-sufficient, and improve their confidence. Other programs from the group include Upper Hand and Script.

The fundraiser race will be on Sunday, June 9th at 7:30 am. People can check into the event at 6:15 am. The cost to enter the 5K is $65 per competitor, though participants can get a discount if they register before April 30th. Kids 12 and younger can enter the race for $25. Organizations in charge of these recurring fundraisers may use banner printing to share information about their events with the public.
