Rock legend holds concert in San Bernardino area

The San Bernardino area is getting a dose of rock and roll from a legend in the genre when Roger Daltrey performs this August at Yaamava’ Resort and Casino.

Daltrey is the lead singer of The Who, the influential British rock group known for hits such as “My Generation” and “Pinball Wizard.” He will be presenting a set incorporating some of those classics from the band, as well as his own solo pieces and other rare songs.

With a rock band backing him, incorporating acoustic guitars, Daltrey will offer a more stripped-down version of some of his most well-known songs while taking breaks in between them to tell stories weaving through rock history.

Daltrey, now in his 80s, is planning to play more shows for his solo tour this year than he did with The Who’s farewell tour in North America the year before. He said in a recent interview that playing with his solo band is less physically exhausting than playing with The Who, so he can do more back-to-back sets.

Concerts like this may choose to use flyer printing to create promotional material, set lists and venue Signs.

Roger Daltrey with special guest Dan Bern is performing on August 24 at 8 pm, with doors open at 7 pm, at Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at 777 San Manuel Blvd in Highland.
