Rap icon comes to San Bernardino

The Yaamava’ Resort and Casino will host rapper Pitbull in concert this November.

The Grammy Award winner has generated No. 1 hit singles in multiple countries around the globe. His party anthems are designed to be a pick-me-up for the listener, the artist explained in a recent interview.

It is not uncommon for Pitbull’s dedicated fanbase to show up dressed as the artist at his concerts, complete with bald caps – something he said made him feel good to witness at a recent London show. The trend, which is more popular among women than men, began roughly after the pandemic, with thousands of people regularly appearing in their Pitbull costumes during concerts. Having been raised by a single mother himself, Pitbull said he is moved by the appreciation from his female fans.

Other artists have fan bases who dress in costumes for their concerts, including Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Tyler, The Creator. Pitbull admits:

“Well, it’s an honor to be able to be mentioned with those kinds of names.”

After being in the music industry for 25 years, Pitbull said the secret to his seemingly endless energy stems in part from the pulsating rhythms of the music itself.

Pitbull is performing on Monday, November 24 at 8:00 pm at the Yaamava’ Resort and Casino at 777 San Manuel Blvd in San Bernardino.
