The Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy in San Bernardino is hosting a backpack giveaway for children ahead of the back-to-school season.
The event is free, though registration is required. Raffle prizes and music are also part of what is one of San Bernardino County’s largest backpack giveaway events. Not only will each registered K-12 student be given a new backpack, but they will also be gifted rulers, Notebooks, crayons, folders, and other supplies.
Shiekh Shoes will be providing a gift card as part of a raffle drawing, with live music at the event provided by a DJ.
In addition, families who need help or children who need assistance with learning can receive contact information for a variety of services at the event, as there will be a number of vendors ranging from health screenings to tutors, after-school programs, civic groups, and non-profit organizations. Volunteers are also encouraged to get involved in the event.
All students who are in K-12 classes who live in San Bernardino County are eligible for the backpack and school supply giveaway. Charity events like this may choose to use Promotional Products for vendors to use as free giveaways.
The Back to School East Valley Backpack Giveaway is happening on Friday, August 1 from 9:00 am to noon at the Young Visionaries Community Resource Center at 604 W 4th St. in San Bernardino.
