Late last fall, members of the La Palma City Council authorized a community opinion survey, to be carried out by True North Research, under an agreement between the city and the research firm. The city is Mailing Postcards to ask for residents' responses.
A survey such as this is designed to help identify the issues that are most important to residents. They also measure whether or not residents are satisfied with the way the city provides municipal services to them. City officials were able to take advantage of local Print shops to create the Postcards it needed.
The survey consists of two phases, the first phase of which is already completed. A statistical survey took place between November 28 and December 16, 2018, with the city asking for responses from a random sample drawn from the population. The second phase, which is currently in operation, is a Mailing. The city will send Postcards that instruct residents how to complete the survey. Each postcard will have a passcode unique to that household, which they will need to use to access the survey.
Postcards were mailed to all residents of La Palma, asking them to give the city feedback and input on a number of issues that matter to them, and impact the quality of life in the community. Residents should be receiving the Postcards starting around January 23, and they are asking to respond and finish the survey by February 10.
