La Palma celebrates diversity

La Palma, California, is a patchwork of neighborhoods with residents who come from throughout the world. Each year, the city has a party to celebrate its colorful makeup.

According to Best Neighborhood, a website that analyzes the composition of communities, La Palma rates 99 out of 100 for diversity, making it far more diverse than most other cities in the country.

The City of La Palma’s Festival of Nations & Parade is held yearly, and brings everyone together to find joy in their differences. The event features games, attractions, and carnival rides, along with food trucks. Festival attendees will be able to enjoy live dance and music performances that illustrate the cultures of the performers’ countries. Even more fun is the fact that there will be all kinds of ethnic food for everyone to enjoy.

Booths featuring arts and crafts, as well as cultural exhibits, will provide even more opportunities to learn about the languages, customs, and cultures of participating exhibitors. The youngest festival goers won’t be forgotten, either, as entertainment, games, and activities suitable for children are also planned.

The Festival of Nations is scheduled for April 27. The Hometown Parade runs from 10.30 am until 11.30 am, and the Festival itself is from 11.30 am until 4.30 pm. There will be activities taking place throughout the city. Organizers of fun events such as this will often use poster printing to create colorful advertisements for the day.
