Christmas in La Palma is always fun, as the city plans a whole afternoon and evening of fun and community.
The Community Activities and Beautification Committee is hosting the 36th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting. The event brings everyone together to start the holidays with musical performances by students from nearby schools, as well as the Community Carol Sing Along. People who know the songs can sing out, helping children learn the words and music by sharing their knowledge.
If that weren’t enough, kids of all ages will enjoy welcoming Santa, who is coming to La Palma along with his elves, and Mrs. Claus, to open Santa’s Village. In addition to Santa and the Carol Sing, there will be a station where people can send letters to Santa, arts and crafts, and more.
When they plan outdoor events like this, organizers may decide to contact a printer who uses banner printing to create sturdy decorations.
The La Palma Christmas Tree Lighting & Santa's Village celebration is set for December 4, from 4.00 pm until 8.30 pm. Santa’s Village will open at 4.00 pm and Santa will arrive at 4.30 pm. The Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for 5.30 pm. The venue is the La Palma Central Park Pavilion. Although weather in California is usually dry even in December, in case of rain, the Ceremony will move to December 11.
