Dance performance in La Palma

An upcoming performance in La Palma will give audiences a chance to see some of the rising stars in the world of professional dance.

Project 21 trains dancers aged 7-18 with the help of families and staff members, who are all committed to helping the young performers succeed. As part of the program, dancers work with different choreographers, who provide a variety of dance experiences.

Choreographers working with Project 21 include the studio’s owner and founder, Molly Long. She grew up in a dance studio, and knows the importance of providing a safe space for performers to experiment. She is also the studio’s jazz choreographer and competition director.

Also on the staff are Paige Borowski, who is a graduate of The Julliard School and danced with the Ballett Theater Basel in Switzerland.

Jazelle Torre began dancing when she was three, at West Coast School of the Arts. She has learned numerous dance Forms including contemporary, hip-hop, tap, ballet, jazz, and others.

Talia Seitel is a competitive dancer who focuses on jazz, and Perris Amento, herself a graduate of Project 21, has performed with the Joffrey Ballet.

Troy Herring and Cory Barnette are also on the staff, and guest instructors include Nick Young for tap, Cheyenne Murillo for ballroom dance, and hip-hop instructor Ricky Maalouf.

Project 21 will perform Season 9 at the John F. Kennedy High School in La Palma on February 4 at 5:30pm until 8:30pm. Organizers of events like this will often use poster printing to promote them.
