The Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum is sharing US military aviation history with an in-person speakers’ series over February, March, and April.
On February 20, the museum will present a detailed lecture on 1940s analog computer technology created by Carl Norden, and the lasting worldwide implications of the bombsite named after him.
March 20 sees a program with the theme “Rosie the Riveter” presented by The Phoenix Chapter of Rosie the Riveter Association. The presentation will discuss the importance of women’s roles during World War ll. Alice Klobe who was an aircraft mechanic at Airbase Arizona will hold a question and answer session afterward.
On March 27, author Steve Snyder will relate his father Pilot Howard Snyder’s survival struggle after he was shot down in World War ll. Speakers slated for April 10 and April 24 will be announced at a later date.
Tickets will be standard museum rates. Adult tickets are $15, kids from ages 5 to 12 are $5, and seniors over 61 and veterans $12. These can be purchased online at the museum’s website.

The series will take place on designated Saturdays from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Arizona Commemorative Air Force Museum at 2017 N Greenfield Road.
