In the first couple of days in May, the Plaza at Mesa City Center will be holding festivities that have been dubbed Mesa Amplified.
On Friday, after a full day of local bands performing at Downtown Mesa businesses, activities and interactive experiences, the MIX Center screen will feature the movie Sing beginning at 6:00 pm. Afterward everyone is invited to attend the Neon Garden as Under the Neon Moon will be a free family-friendly dance party.
The Under the Moon dance party will take place from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday, May 1st at the Post, 26 N Macdonald.
The Neighborhood Comedy Theatre, 214 W Main Street, will offer an evening of adlib comedy sketches and storytelling with a Music Improv Jam at 6:00 pm and the Improvised Musical from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
On Saturday, Mesa Amplified will continue with local bands leading up to the main stage performance of Fourbanger and 2Tone Lizard Kings who will warm up for The Ataris.
The Neighborhood Comedy Theatre will offer a Neighborhood Jam beginning at 6:00 pm followed by a Competitive Comedy show from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Organizations often use colorful banner printing to create Banners displaying information about upcoming events around the event site.
Mesa Amplified will take place Friday, May 1st from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday, May 2nd from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
