The 4th Annual Gathering of Ghouls Halloween & Horror Convention will be coming to Mesa in mid-August.
The event will be two days of celebrity guests, spooky attractions, cosplay, and over 100 horror artists and vendors in one of the Southwest's biggest horror marketplaces.
Horror celebrity guests will include Lochlyn Munro (from Scary Movie, Riverdale, and Freddy vs Jason), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie, Victor Crowley and the Devil's Rejects movies) and Madeleine McGraw (The Black Phone, The Black Phone 2, and The Curse of the Necklace). Other horror actors will include Doug Jones, Trevor Newlin, Violet McGraw, Felissa Rose, Tyler Labine, Brett Wagner, Chester Rushing, Emily Perkins, and Rhonda Shear.
The High Desert Haunted House will offer unlimited free walkthroughs. There will be a cosplay contest for adults and a Little Ghouls Cosplay Showcase on Saturday. The second Horrorbilly Pinup Pageant, crowning the new King and Queen Ghouls, will take place on Sunday.
Panels will be covering topics such as creature design, horror history, genre trends, haunted storytelling, and fan culture.
Many attendees may dress in cosplay costumes, and pictures taken of them at the free interactive immersive scary scene backdrops are often sent to local Print shops to be added to family newsletters and Calendars.
The event will take place on August 22 and 23 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Mesa Convention Center, 232 N Centennial Way, Downtown Mesa.
