Southwest Emo Fest will be coming to Mesa in mid-June, and the Arizona Punk Festival will take place toward the end of the month.
Southwest Emo Fest will celebrate Arizona's rising alternative and emo bands. Headlining the performances will be Bite the Hand and Sundressed. Other bands will include The Worried, Betting on the End and The Maybe Next Years.
Tickets will be $25 and all ages will be admitted with bar access to those 21 and over.
Zia Records will have a pop-up shop selling alternative, emo merchandise and vinyl. Bands often have local Print shops create logo designs to be used on Promotional Products such as t shirts, caps, and sweatbands.
The Southwest Emo Fest will take place Saturday, June 13th beginning at 2:30 pm and ending around 10:30 or 11:00 pm at the Rosetta Room, 104 E 1st Avenue.
The following weekend, Saturday, June 20th, the Arizona Punk Festival will present multiple punk bands including Glass Heroes, Swigfoot, The Limit Club and Miles to Nowhere. Other bands will include Perfect Sense, Rejected Monsters, and Krovak. Local performers will be Winterhaven, Vox Manicka and Something Outrageous.
Admission will be $39 and Punk merchandise will be available for purchase.
The Arizona Punk Festival will take place at the Nile Theater, 105 W Main, with doors opening at 5:00 pm.
