Mesa Arts Center and National Geographic Live! continue their partnership in presenting their virtual series, with two online events in February.
The first will be “Scientific Exposure” coming in mid-February, and “Reimagining Dinosaurs” will be presented toward the end of the month.
Scientific Exposure will be a presentation of photography and science. Prasenjeet Yadav, a photographer with a molecular biology background, and Anand Varma, a UC Berkeley integrative biologist and photographer will combine their expertise, skills, and innovative techniques to show Asian wildlife in minute detail. The two will join in conversations and stories on this intersection of photography and science.
Tickets are $20 and link to the event will be given at time of purchase. The program will be from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Wednesday, February 10.
Two weeks later on February 24, beginning at 8:00 pm, National Geographic Live! and the Mesa Arts Center will present Reimagining Dinosaurs. Paleontologist Nizar Ibrahim and a doctoral candidate working on bird evolution, Sebastian Rozadilla, will present an evolving theory about at how dinosaurs actually moved, looked, and lived. The two will engage in conversation and stories about the pre-historic animals.
Stationery printers often use detailed colorful pictures of animals and dinosaurs as subjects for their Stationery and notecards.
Tickets will be $20 and can be purchased on the MAC website, by phone or in-person at the box office at 1 East Main Street.
