The “ultimate feature creature” is set to rock the stage at a drive-in concert with the offbeat rock band GWAR.
This upcoming live show is in celebration of the rerelease of the album ‘Scumdogs of the Universe’ 30 years ago. The band made the announcement about the event from what they claimed was a compound in Antarctica, although the background scenery was suspiciously lush and green. Blothar the Berserker, the band’s bassist and singer, said:
“Americans do everything in their cars, and now that will include watching the greatest rock and roll horror show on this or any other planet. Grab a hotdog, slather it in chili, and shove it down your throats as we bring you the pinnacle of entertainment.”
The band made use of the downtime brought on by the pandemic to promote the rerelease of the 1990 album and start their own variety show that streams online. They also got in contact with CNN to tell the fans about their plans for “world domination” once everything is back to normal.
The band's last promotional tour was for an album released in 2017, and their shows tend to be highly theatrical and often shocking. Flyer printing is a good way of promoting events.
