The board also approved of a $294,000 contract to a construction company that will be tasked with adding a southbound right-turn that connects W. Broad Street and Dominion Boulevard. The resolution from the board stated:
“The work also includes construction of traffic signal improvements and ADA-compliant ramps with the project limits as well as drainage, earthwork, aggregate base, concrete, asphalt, pavement patching, pavement markings, and incidental construction.”
The extra lane connecting Dominion Boulevard and W. Broad Street will be finished no more than 90 days after work starts on March 1st. Information about such projects can be shared using brochure printing.
Another $627,000 was awarded for a contract to lay down more than a mile of pavement on the southern tracts of Nuckols Road and Pouncey Tract Road. This particular project will also include constructing storm drain inlets and installing pedestrian traffic signals. Work on this particular project will also start on March 1st and should be finished in about 120 days.
Short Pump Park will be the recipient of a new multiuse trail. This contract is worth $240,000 and it was awarded to a contractor that will build a paved trail measuring 10 feet wide and a quarter-mile long.
