Glen Allen wine tour to showcase special grape

This March, James River Cellars Winery in Glen Allen will offer the Touriga Vertical Tasting Tour on its winery grounds to explore the fine flavors of the Portuguese Touriga grape variety.

James River Cellars Winery is a 20-acre winery and farm founded by Ray Lazarchic in 2001 after chasing the dream of finding the perfect Virginia Gewürztraminer. The farm and winery are now owned and operated by Lazarchic’s daughter and her husband. The winery offers a unique chance to enjoy high-quality Virginia grape varieties, with it offering a tasting room plus bottles to take home.

The Touriga Vertical Tasting Tour will allow guests a chance to taste the various vintages offered by the winery. The tour will explore how the effects of harvest, weather, winemaking conditions, and other factors influence how a wine will taste. Ticket purchases will include tasting samples of all the vintages showcased, plus a few surprises along the way.

Businesses promoting special events like this may decide to advertise them by distributing Flyers with the event specifics on them. Such flyers can be affordably printed in bulk at area Print shops specializing in flyer printing services.

The wine tour is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 3 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. James River Cellars is located at 11008 Washington Highway. Tickets are $30.
