Glen Allen to hold fire chief summit
The 8th Annual 2022 VFCA Chiefs Summit will be held in Glen Allen next month to provide networking opportunities for fire chiefs across Virginia.
Founded in 1930, the VFCA represents the Virginia Fire Chiefs Association, an organization of fire service leaders serving communities across Virginia and promoting the values of the Fire & Rescue division. The fire chiefs summit is the only statewide forum designed specifically for the chiefs and the second-in-command, the deputy/assistant chiefs. This year the Secretary of Public Safety and Homeland Security and the Governor will be in attendance.
The two-day summit will provide an informal atmosphere of fellowship and learning, taking place both in a classroom setting and in a social setting. The agenda will cover remarks from keynote guests, recruit and retention panels, PTSD discussions, legislative updates, and other various topics on safety, regulation, and improvement. Lunch on the first day will be provided by First Arriving, and the hotel reception will be sponsored by Atlantic Emergency Solutions.
