Glen Allen to hold family cooking class
This June, Publix Aprons Cooking School in Glen Allen will hold the Big and Little Chef: Veggies are the Main Event class for families to bond over the art of cooking.
Publix Aprons Cooking School provides a variety of culinary classes that offer opportunities to learn new skills, taste new foods, and explore different cultures in a relaxed yet expert-guided environment. The Big and Little Chef Series is a family-oriented program that allows a parent, guardian, or older sibling to play the part of “Big Chef” to a child’s “Little Chef” during a cooking workshop. Together, the guardian and child will work together to create recipes that they can recreate at home.
June’s class theme will be vegetable focused, with recipes that showcase how tasty vegetables can be. The class menu will feature a cauliflower carbonara with parmesan and pancetta, broccoli and sweet potatoes with a sweet soy glaze, green pesto pasta salad, and veggie mini pizzas. Registration price includes recipes, ingredients, utensils, demonstrations, and samples of food.
