Glen Allen will be celebrating the Fourth of July weekend in style this year with the Red, White and Lights festive event.
The event aims to celebrate the Fourth with a laser light show that will color the sky in a different way than the typical fireworks. Red, White & Lights will also be celebrating the history of America and of Henrico county more specifically. The Richmond Symphony will be playing American historical standards, with the assistance of a special guest band, and there will be historical reenactments focused on the Revolutionary War period. The goal is to welcome people from across the county and better connect them with their history.
Red, White & Lights will also feature over 15 local businesses, including food trucks providing refreshment including Pops Kettle Corn, RVA Street Foodies, and Sweet Spot Ice Cream. Vendors at seasonal events like this often connect to customers with everything from Business Cards to Promotional Products. There will be a Fun Zone for visiting families including bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, and free watermelons. The Fun Zone will also include a classic car show and an interactive Air Force exhibit.
The Red, White & Lights event will take place on the evening of July 4 at Crump Park in Glen Allen, and is free to attend for all.
